Yoga has been an invaluable guide and support to my physical and spiritual development from attending my first class at the age of 14 and through life’s many fabulous challenges since. It is a privilege to teach yoga and to offer others their own ways to the benefits that I have received through learning from other teachers and personal practice.
I completed the British Wheel of Yoga Diploma (BWY) for yoga teaching (500 hours) and the Foundation Course in Yoga (BWY - 100 hrs) prior to that in 2014. These courses provide a strong foundation for safe, individualised teaching of asana (poses), Pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation as well as knowledge of the more esoteric aspects of practice.
I also work at the University of Bristol as a researcher in public health with a particular interest in gathering evidence to support the implementation of yoga practices and breath work in oncology and palliative care.
Tracey's Hatha Yoga
This is a breath led practice, beginning with a little time spent becoming aware of and connecting to its flow. I will encourage you to maintain this awareness as we move through a well organised series of asana (poses), with time to notice subtle changes in the quality of your mind and sensations in your body.
Yoga is not a competition with oneself, or anyone else. It is an opportunity for growth and development and each individual in the class will be supported towards finding their own way to this through the physical poses, breath work and blissful relaxation. As such the class is suitable for all levels of experience and beginners are especially welcome.
