My name is Izzie and I have been a student of yoga since 2016. I came to yoga when I was at university through the influence of my mum and dad, since then my practice and love for yoga has grown over the years. It has improved my confidence in my ability and given me a greater sense of grounding through the ups and downs of life. The physical and emotional healing I have experienced made me want to share yoga with others!
My personal practice is in the Ashtanga Yoga tradition, and I completed my 200hr teacher training at the Bristol School of Yoga in the Vinyasa and Yin styles. My classes are inspired by the Ashtanga sequence and incorporate alternative poses to develop different aspects in each class such as back bending or breath work. I also love a bit of chanting!
Astanga Yoga Class
This community class takes inspiration of from the Ashtanga sequence, varying each week to suit different aims and incorporate different postures. Classes will start quietly connecting to the breath, then we will build some internal fire with sun salutations and other asanas before closing with some back bending or inversions, finishing with savasana.
