3 Reasons to do Yoga in the Morning

June 4, 2017 Naomi Hayama
Morning yoga and pilates classes at the Bristol Yoga Centre

I have practiced yoga first thing in the morning for several years and believe that it’s the best time to do yoga.  Here are 3 good reasons to do yoga in the morning.

1. Feel great for the rest of the day

Morning yoga practice will help you to wake up, feel energised and refreshed for the rest of the day.  You will be more supple and relaxed, and be in much better mindset for the day ahead

2. You can focus on your practice

Yoga is traditionally practiced early in the morning. One of the main reasons for this is concentration. There is so much going on during the day that it’s easy to get distracted. I occasionally practice later in the day and I’ve found it much more challenging to focus. It can also be tempting to skip your practice altogether if you don’t have a set schedule. Which leads me into the third reason for doing yoga in the morning...

3. It’s easier to motivate yourself

At the end of the day when your feeling tired from work, it can be hard to motivate yourself to get on the mat - even if it’s a lovely thing to do! Also, if you’ve already completed the practice in the morning, you can go home and relax or go out instead.

Why don’t you try coming along to our fabulous morning classes at Bristol Yoga Centre?
