Yoga Teacher Jo at Bristol Yoga Centre

Jo Patrick will be starting weekly Sunday evening yoga class from 17:45 - 19:00 pm on 3rd September at the Bristol Yoga Centre. Her class is called Yoga for Sports and it will help you to build strength, move with greater ease and help prevent injury.

Jo will guide you through a dynamic yoga class, that will flow through various asanas (poses) to improve flexibility, fascial patterning, functional movement, core stability, strength and balance.

Classes work within normal range of motion and are particularly good if you are interested in improving your quality of movement, building your performance in sport and bulletproofing your body for the future.

Welcome Doug to Bristol Yoga Centre!

June 7, 2017 Naomi Hayama
Doug Karson starting yoga at Bristol Yoga Centre

Bristol Yoga Centre would like to welcome Doug Karson to our team of yoga teachers! He will be teaching Himalayan Hatha Yoga on Tuesday morning at 7:15 - 8:15am and Friday evening at 5:30 - 6:45pm

More about Doug

Doug's mother was his first teacher and she has been guiding him from early on in the ways of breath.  He has very old and precious memories of her calming him down with 3 deep breathes into the belly.

In 2012, Doug met his Guru Yogi Ashokananda.  He taught him how to be compassionate and bequeathed him with his yogic name; Dayananda.  It means the bliss of mercy.  Much of Doug's teaching style, tone, and knowledge come directly from his lineage.

With Prana Kriya, Himalayan Hatha, and meditation techniques, Doug continues the practice of how to be present, past and future.  He has completed 500 specific teacher training hours with Yogi-ji and am a Senior Ashokananda School Teacher.

Yoga is a practice.  Regular and constant.  Like any other practice, the goal is not to become perfect but to have constant improvement.  This sometimes comes in the form of acceptance and recognising our already perfect nature.  Doug's classes are challenging and humorous.  He likes to play and laugh and this comes through my teaching.  He hope to see you in the studio and perhaps we can laugh together :)
