We hope you have a wonderful Easter!
We are adding two new Pilates classes soon as all our existing Pilates classes are so popular! Jo Batten will be teaching on the following times:
Monday 2:45 - 3:30pm starting from 9th April
Friday 12:45 - 1:30pm starting from 13th April
Jo's Pilates classes pay particular attention to the details of each exercise, every movement is deliberate and considered to maximise its effectiveness and minimise unnecessary effort and tension. In addition everyone is encouraged to work at their own pace and in a way that best supports them.
The overall aim of the class is to help improve balance in the body; releasing muscles that tend to overwork (for example the shoulders and lower back) and strengthening the often less used weaker muscles, particularly those that support the joints.
Get in touch with Jo to book your space. Fees will be £1 cheaper than our day rate as this is a 45 minute class. See here for details on our prices. The classes will also be available on MoveGB!
We now offer Therapeutic Yoga class on Tuesday morning from 10:00 - 11:00am with Josie.
This class would be suitable for people with injuries, returning to yoga after a break, wanting to improve energy levels, improve sleep, reduce pain, lessen worry, irritability, feel happier, reduce stress levels or simply have the desire to find space to slow down.
Josie completed a 500 hour advanced yoga teacher training, registered with IYN, at Yogasara Academy in Bristol. She qualified as a yoga Nidra teacher with Total Yoga Nidra in London and is currently undertaking a two year course in Yoga Therapy for mental health with the Minded Institute.
Sorry but due to bad weather, we are cancelling some of our classes. Please check our timetable carefully to see which classes are running or feel free to get in touch with us!
Enjoy the snow :)

We are starting a monthly Kirtan session with Arianna from Sunday 4th February 2018 at 19:30 - 20:30pm at Bristol Yoga Centre. Arianna trained as a classical pianist before becoming a yoga teacher and sound work therapist.
Kirtan is a simple yet powerful practice that opens the heart & frees the mind through simple, call & response, chanting. It's power is beyond words. During these gatherings, Arianna will share simple chants & spiritual songs, drawn mainly from the Yogic & Buddhist traditions, with other old favourites and maybe a few of her own songs thrown in. First timers need not worry - these sessions will be friendly, informal and simple... there's not even any obligation to sing if you don't feel you want to!
So come & sing, dance, make some noise....or just come, listen, be...in a non-judgemental sacred sound space. No experience necessary, just openness of heart....
Book in advance with Arianna or just simply turn up.
Mindful Yin yoga class with Emilia is starting tomorrow at the Bristol Yoga Centre. She has two weekly classes and here are the details:
Mindful Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures held for longer periods of time between 3 to 5 minutes. The passive nature of long held postures gives time for a deeper journey to unfold into the meditative aspects of yoga. Yin Yoga is the practice of floor based postures that apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of ligaments, fascia, joints, bones and the energetic channels of the meridians, nerves and blood system.
It's a perfect compliment to the dynamic (yang) styles of yoga like Hatha Flow, Vinyasa and Ashtanga. This class will help you discover how to use different yoga techniques to live more fully and mindfully, both on and off the mat!
Contact Emilia to book for block of classes (cheaper option) or simply drop in. Here are our price details. It's also available on MoveGB!
